Stable Team Member

Full-Time (5 days/week, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

About the Role
White Moose Farms is seeking a motivated, reliable Full-Time Stable Team Member to support daily operations in our barn and surrounding facilities. Reporting to the Stable Operations Manager, this role is essential in maintaining a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for both horses and riders. Ideal candidates will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to work collaboratively as part of a committed team.

    • Daily turnout and bring-in of horses, including blanket management based on weather

    • Stall cleaning and re-bedding with fresh shavings

    • Preparing and feeding daily grain and hay according to each horse’s specifications

    • Monitoring feed and supplements; report low supplies to the Team Lead

    • Cleaning and refilling indoor/outdoor waterers; ensuring paddock tubs are topped up

    • General maintenance of the barn and surrounding areas (sweeping, tidying, etc.)

    • Minor repairs and prompt reporting of anything that needs fixing

    • Receiving and distributing deliveries (shavings, hay, feed)

    • Mucking arenas and setting up/taking down jumps as needed

    • Using hot walker per the daily rotation schedule

    • Assisting with other duties such as arena grooming or manure management, as skill allows

    • Previous experience working with horses preferred, but training will be provided

    • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and comfort in physically demanding environments

    • Attention to detail and willingness to take initiative

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Dependable, punctual, and respectful of the horses and clients we serve

White Moose Farms is looking to build a roster of Part-Time and Casual Stable Team Members who can jump in on weekends, statutory holidays, or short-notice relief shifts. This position plays a key role in maintaining the comfort, cleanliness, and day-to-day care of the horses and facilities. It’s a great opportunity for those with experience or a deep interest in horses.
